Receiving client payments after starting maternity leave?

What happens if we declare maternity leave with a few outstanding invoices or projects to complete? For example, I have declared maternity leave and am waiting for confirmation from RAM - but have one last client project to complete. Will we get penalized for working or receiving payments after maternity leave has started?
