Why has RSI canceled my auto-entrepreneur business here in France?

Yesterday I received a letter from the régime social des indépendants (RSI) stating that I earned 72 euros over the limit as an auto-entrepreneur in 2016. I registered as an auto-entrepreneur on 1 August 2016. Hence, they have closed my account and say that I have to re-register with the Service des Impôts des Entreprises. Is there anything I can do - can I contest it?
I would like to remain an auto-entrepreneur.
