Why am I being asked for a SIREN number?

I have almost completed my application form to register as an auto-entrepreneur, using the video from this website as my guide. Because I would like to protect my residential address, I was previously advised on this forum to create a domiciliation address which I now have done. However, when I select a une adresse de domiciliaiton in section 3 of the auto-entrepreneur form, the webpage then changes and asks me to provide a SIREN number (Votre numéro unique d’identification (SIREN)), in a red box - meaning that it is mandatory.

This seems strange as my understanding is that the SIREN is given to me once registration is complete, and not before. I can only assume that it is referring to any previous businesses I have had. In my case I don’t have any previous businesses in France but the the box allows me only to enter numerical digits and not text. If I leave the SIREN number blank and try to submit the application form, the page keeps telling me to enter the SIREN.
