When should I expect to start paying my social charges?

My business in France is registered as enterprise individuelle regime reel simplifie. My start date was 1 April 2015. I have had many letters from RSI asking for payments but I am not sure if they are genuine.

Approximately when should I be expecting to make a social charges payment and is it a fixed amount?
Is there a minimum amount I need to earn per month (pre expenses) to qualify for healthcare etc?
