What type of business to open in France for digger?

I am wanting to set up a business here in France with a digger doing landscaping, drainage etc. The running costs of this type of business could be quite high. I need a lorry to transport the digger to the work sites, so I would incur-vehicle insurances, vehicle services and possible break down cost, also there would be quite high fuel costs to add to this.
I am not sure how much work I will be generating during the first year. With these expenses is the auto-entrepreneur the right choice for me initially. If the business does take off, can I change onto a EURL scheme easily at a later date.
