What is the best way to rent out a holiday chalet in France?

We have the opportunity to rent a chalet with an apartment underneath from a French landlord. We could then rent out the chalet for the winter season as short term holiday lets and live in the apartment below. We would then live in the chalet the rest of the year. How would be best to do this with regards to tax? I am already registered as an auto-entrepreneur business in France and my husband has a UK based business.
