What happens if my auto-entrepreneur turnover is over the limit?

I project my auto-entrepreneur turnover for 2010 to be around 32,000 euros. However, I may get some extra contracts later in the year which would put me over that amount and as high as 40,000 euros to 45,000 euros. What happens in this case? Can you tell me briefly what are the financial implications? Also, what happens if I go over 8,000 euros per quarter but remain under the maximum for the year? In this case should I be very careful to structure my invoices to remain under 8,000 euros each quarter?
