I have some land with a building restriction to agricultural use, which means I have to be a exploitat agreiculturel to build on the lot and have my professional activity there. A befriended real estate agent mentioned that it needs only 1500 meters squared and any kind of farming activity, e.g. chicken, a lamb, a small vineyard etc. to legally qualify.

  1. What are the minimum requirements in order to have an accepted agricultural activity that would allow me to build on this lot?
  2. Are there any additional memberships or certificates needed?
  3. Any other things to be aware / beware of?
  4. If I can build my house on this lot, could I give up the activity later on, and sell the house on the normal market, or just to a farmer?
