What accounts does an auto-entrepreneur business need to keep?

Could you help me clarify the legal requirements in France for auto entrepreneur business accounting and bookkeeping.

  1. The invoices I send are in English as my clients are English - is this OK or do I need to have them in French too?
  2. As I can’t reduce the costs of running the business, do I still need to note them (except for my own personal records)?
  3. To track my invoices, I use excel, is this OK? Is there any other system you would recommend?
  4. I think I may go over the limit this year so will probably have to move to entreprise individuelle réel simplifie. What happens about the TVA, do I need to the let the tax office know and will they send me a form? Or will this happen automatically? Can I fill in the TVA myself or will I need an accountant at this stage?
