Waiting on a France Wise business account to accept payments from U.S. clients
I am currently establishing a France Wise business account. Wise has requested several documents, the most recent (my proof of business registration) may take up to 7 days to be evaluated. And after that, it looks like I will need to provide my numéro fiscal, which I don’t have yet. Online, some people report receiving a numéro fiscal within days of their request, others report it taking up to 6 weeks.
In the meantime, I need to invoice one of my clients. The delay is already beyond what I would consider professional and I’m uncomfortable with a potential additional delay of several weeks.
I’m considering invoicing them as you instruct in the course, but allowing them to send their payment to my existing U.S. account. Would there be any issues with my tax declaration, or anything else, if I receive one payment to my U.S. account while I wait for the France Wise business account validation to happen?
