VAT question for French ME invoicing UK digital business

I have been consulting for a digital advertising platform. At the moment they are French and based in France, although the advertising is done to attract UK clients (to buy property in France). I would only be paid if a buyer buys one of the properties belonging to a seller or estate agent that I signed up to advertise on the website. At the moment, it is simple because I am an ME and I could just invoice for services and VAT is not a consideration (no TVA for ME’s).
However, the company are considering moving their operation to the UK and running it from there. This would mean that if one of my properties sold then I would be an ME invoicing a UK company for the consultancy fee and it seems that now I would have to charge UK VAT on my invoice and collect it on behalf of the UK HMRC and be registered for VAT in the UK.
Do you know anything about this and is that correct?
Many thanks
Louise
