US LLC - France Company Structure

My husband and I are living in France. We have a US LLC currently taxed as a pass through entity - all of the profits and losses of the LLC “pass through” the business to the LLC owners (called members), who report this information on their personal tax returns. We sell online software subscriptions to our technology - all to US-based customers. We need to keep this US LLC for business reasons, but we would like to continue to live in France, contribute to social security here, etc.

We are looking to have a net income of around 40K USD each. We are currently restructuring the LLC to have a mix of salary and dividends to better optimize the taxes in the US. However, based on the current situation of 80K passed through to two people (married), what would be your suggestion on what to do in France.

Also, how would I make the connection between the US LLC and the company created in France? Or do I just declare my income twice? 40K USD in the US and whatever 40K USD exchanges into in euro in France.

Thank you for your help,

Nicole
