Type of business when you have a main client

I will most probably start working full-time for an EU company (located outside of France) as a designer (so I provide services), and I will be invoicing them every month (the amount will be the same). Also, from time to time I will also be able to invoice other clients for smaller projects as well.

My questions:

1. I was thinking of registering as auto-entrepreneur. Would the above setting be ok for having an auto-entrepreneur business (having a main client whom I will be invoicing every month the same amount and also have sporadic smaller projects with other clients) or it could be seen as “disguised salary”?

2. Is there any other type of business type that would be more ideal for this setup?
