Translation of birth certificate necessary for auto-entrepreneur?

We are in the process of registering my husband as an auto-entrepreneur and have been reading through the forum. I have not been able to find confirmation on the offical site, but is it necessary to send both a copy of the birth certificate plus an official translation? Do I also need an official translation of my birth certificate and marriage certificate to be added as an Ayant Droite?

Can you please help me clarify if my husband is to be a commercant or an artisan? He will be providing a service of cooking meals for clients in holiday accommodation, he may also make meals at home and deliver them to holiday accommodation. So is this a service (commercant), or producing a product (artisan)?
