With your help, I have established my gite business in France as an auto-entrepreneur / micro-entreprise, and will be taxed under regime micro social. As required, I have set up a bank account which is wholly separate from my household account. Am I correct in believing it is only my French gite income that I need to manage through this separate account, and not my gite expenditure?

I ask this question as I believe both my income tax and social charges will be based on turnover, rather than profit, and therefore my expenses will be of no interest to the authorities. Could you also describe the formulae that will be used for calculating my income tax and social charges.
