Teaching English for a company as an Auto-entrepreneur?

I have the opportunity to teach English for a company I already write for. I am currently billing them for droits d’auteur for the writing redaction for their website, and I declare this as such on my tax return. The company offered me hours teaching, but informs me that in order to bill this I need Auto Entrpreneur status.

  1. How fast can I set up? Can I be earning with this opportunity whilst the paperwork is being handled?
  2. Once I start billing them as an auto-entrepreneur for the English lessons, do I need to bill the writing as an auto-entrepreneur too or can I continue to bill that as ‘droits d’auteur’? What are the implications of one thing on the other?
  3. Am I correct in thinking that if I become an auto-entrepreneur I will need to pay % charges on all that I earn and then also pay income tax on those earnings?
  4. I am currently on my husband’s work mutuelle, if I become auto-entrepreneur will I be able to continue and if so, how do I administrate it?
