Tax and Social Charges on material costs

I am setting up as a homme tout mains but do not understand how you charge for materials under the AE regime. If tax and social charges are based on turnover then how do I make sure that I am not losing out by paying these charges on the materials that I buy and effectively re-sell to the client?
