Summary of auto-entrepreneur charges?

I lived and worked in France from 2005-8. I was then registered as an Artisan and found it a nightmare, I lived in fear of my post-box because of constant demands from RSI - as a result we left France! I now find that auto-entrepreneur is, as far as I can make a lot simpler and not as expensive as regards social charges and income tax. We want to return to France but we need to be quite sure that I am understanding what I have read about auto-entrepreneur. I manufacture a musical instrument as an individual craftsman - I do not employ anyone. There will be only my wife and myself and as far as we can see my wife will not be working.

I have read a guide to auto-entrepreneur and if I understand it correctly I will have a choice of paying quarterly or annually. Turnover limit of 80,000. Social charges will be 12% of my turnover and income tax will be 1% making a total deduction of 13% of turnover. No turnover = no charges. Is this correct ? Are there any other charges/deductions that we will have? If we are to move back to France we need to know exactly what our charges will be with respect to my employment as an auto-entrepreneur.
