Starting a business in France after December 31st

It looks as though we may not get to France, as hoped, this year and before the end of the transition period. Does having a business in France help us to get our carte de sejour as non EU nationals once we have arrived? If it does, what sort of business does it need to be e.g. would a micro entreprenneur be sufficient?
