SIREN number not recognised by Insee site

I have just had a meeting at my bank to discuss opening an account for my entreprise and the SIREN returned no results on the Insee site. It was also not searchable by name or address. The telephone number for Insee was a recorded message which didn’t help. Is there anything I should have done to make the business ‘live’ on the Insee site? On the impôts.gouve site it recognised the SIREN immediately. Thank you!
