setting up a buying and selling business

Eco tubs

Good evening Valerie,
You have come highly recommended and I am so relieved to be able to ask questions - you have saved my pulling all my hair out!!

Our current situation:
We own 2 properties in France - near Limoges - therefore we have a bank account/utility bills/habitation tax etc = sort of in the system!!
We are still living in England but we are moving into one of our houses in February 2020 so will become permanent French residents
We want to set up 2 businesses asap so we can start marketing asap.

Main business - in my partner’s name - he will be buying eco wood fired hot tubs from the UK. He will pay trade prices upfront and then sell them to the end-user in France. We can use our home as a showroom as we have one of the eco tubs in our garden and we have a place to store them.
We will be buying the hot tubs at trade price from the wholesaler in the UK and work on a 33% mark up to the end-user to ensure we cover the delivery costs etc.
At this stage our business plan is to sell as many as possible…but my forecast is we could turnover as little as 4200e (cost of hot tub + delivery + profit @ 1 sale per month) or as much as 50,400e if we sell 4 per month. I think the micro-entrepreneur route is the best option? If sales increased would we need to change the business registration and structure?  We want to use digital marketing to grow our business - can you give advice or help with this aspect?
We hope to attend trade shows etc to grow the business - as soon as our spoken French is up to speed.
Can you help with the registration of the business? In effect this will be my partner’s business and I will be responsible for our other business.

Our second source of income will be running a gite business. We have the property ready for this business and we are keen to get this advertised asap to enable us to start April 2020. I will need to register this business in my name - we hope this gite will bring in an income of 25000 a year.
In the UK, I have 3 properties that I have just started to rent out. The money collected from these rents will pay for the mortgages etc in the UK therefore non of the income will be used in France. Can you advise on how I deal with this i.e - do I keep that business separate from my business in France? or does it get combined? Do I pay tax twice - UK and France?
I hope the above makes sense!
We would like you to complete the registration for both businesses if possible. Please let me know the next step.
Many thanks
Nicola
