Selling a house which is registered to an auto-entrepreneur business?

I am an auto-entrepreneur in France doing chambre d’hotes in our house and also a gite in the other smaller house. We would now like to sell our house and have been advised by one agent that I would need to de-register in order not to pay business tax as the property is listed as a business.

My income has been for the first year (2014) about 27,000 euros and for the second year (2015) 23,000 - and I have paid fully to date all income tax (none so far), cotisations (about 6,000 in total) and CFE (this year only - 87 euros). Obviously we have paid all the relevant fonciere and habitation taxes but am now worried that as a business we cannot put the house on the market without unregistering, but then again cannot continue to earn a living while it is on the market, which may be some time.

I am being told lots of conflicting advice but have always wanted to do the right thing with regards to paying contributions and tax and am totally confused. Any help you can give would be great.
