Rupture Conventionnelle vs. Quitting to start auto-entrepreneur business in France

I have registered for an auto-entrepreneur (ME) while being a full time employee. I would like to leave my full time job to focus on my business, but have the ability to find a part-time job to supplement my income while I grow my business. If my employer refuses a rupture conventionelle, what are my options ? Can I quit, but still register with the pôle emploi to receive chômage and find a part time position ?
