RSI invoice scam?
I am an auto-entrepreneur and understand that I will be paying 12% social charges and 1% income tax every quarter on my turnover. I understand that there is nothing further to pay in my circumstances having registered my business as a commercial activity. I sell goods at French markets. A few days ago I received an invoice from RSI (Bulletin d’adhesion 2011 rsi-entreprises.fr du Repertoire des Societes et des independants RSI) asking for payment of 249 euros under a sub heading of Designation. On the back of the form are the ‘conditions generales de vente de prestation publicitaire sur internet’ and lists articles 1-9.
Not sure whether I should speak with someone or take no further action as I understand that this may be some sort of scam or perhaps a different body which uses the same business acronym as RSI.
