Retired or not. does it matter?

I was once registered an auto-entrepreneur for my hobby etsy shop but I have stopped for a couple of years now so assume I need to re register to open up the shop?
My retired husband will be running the shop now, is there any benefit to him registering over me? He gets his health care paid through the Brexit deal from when he moved here.
I work full time still so pay a lot in charges/ healthcare myself.
