Receiving payments from UK Clients

I have set up as an Auto-Entrepreneur for web design services. I am targeting UK customers as well as French. My questions are:

1) Can I receive payments in sterling?
2) If so what do I need to do to ensure that I am operating within french regulations whilst transferring sterling into my french AE account.

Additional information. I have a UK business with a UK business account still operational, my partner uses this currently for consultancy work that she performs in the UK, but I have not utilised this account myself since moving to France and giving up my prevouos IT Contracting work.

3) Am I able to utilise this UK business/business account in any way to invoice and receive payments for UK clients whilst operating in France as an AE?
