Questions about setting up AE

Hi there — I’ve recently moved from The Netherlands to France and am in the process of registering as an AE. I want to make sure that I do everything right *and* make the best financial choices based on my situations.

  1. There’s a significant chance I pass the revenue ceiling of 70k in my first year, as I’ve generated more than that during the last two years in The Netherlands. What happens when I pass this ceiling, and does it make sense to even sign up as an AE?
  2. During the process of signing up I can opt for the ‘versement libératoire de l’impôt’. I understand the concept of paying tax throughout the year instead of doing at the end, but what are the benefits? Would it make sense for me to apply for this, with my expected revenue?
  3. What’s the best time to register my company — as soon as possible, or on 01/01/2020? I’ve been eyeing the new year to start, as I’m officially stopping my Dutch business on 01/01, but after reading your article about the changes coming to ACRE it might be a better idea to start it in 2019?

Thanks in advance!
