Question on Adding a Second Activity (Gardening) and Possibility of ACRE
I’m writing to recap my situation and ask for your advice regarding the possibility of obtaining ACRE as I expand my micro-entrepreneurship activities. I am aware you know some of these details already, but thought it best if I include everything so it is clear.
I currently have a micro-entrepreneur (ME) set up as a coach. I now wish to add a second activity—gardening—as I already have clients waiting and need to be correctly registered as soon as possible.
My main question is: is there any way I could become eligible for ACRE, either by adding this new activity to my current ME, or by setting it up separately?
Here’s the context:
- My ME was registered on 1st October 2020, but I had no income until Q3 of 2022, and even then, my turnover was only a few hundred euros across Q3–Q4 2022. In practice, the activity only really started in 2023.
- I did not apply for ACRE when I first registered, as I was not aware of it at the time.
- During this period, I was suffering from a long-term illness, which explains why my business activity only began properly much later.
- I am currently on RSA (since June 2023) and in the process of applying for RQTH (disability recognition). I also have ALD status in my healthcare, reflecting a chronic illness.
From my own research, I think that adding a new activity to an existing ME may not make me eligible for ACRE. But I am unsure whether it is possible (or advisable) to set up a completely separate ME for the gardening activity, or whether I could make a case to URSSAF based on the above circumstances.
Could you please advise me on:
1. Whether there is any route for me to obtain ACRE in my situation.
2. If so, what would be the first practical steps I should take.
3. Whether I should add the gardening to my current ME, or if there is a legitimate way to establish it separately.
Thank you very much for your guidance—I wanted to lay out all the details clearly so you have the full picture.
Warm regards
