Professional landlord - automatic access to the healthcare system?

My husband is thinking about buying a commercial property in which a tenant is currently operating a business. Our understanding is that by doing this my husband will become a professional landlord and as such will be automatically entitled to access the healthcare system, as long as he pays the requisite social charges that is. Is this correct?

My husband already has a carte vitale from former employment in France, but this will expire in August. Although the rental income from the commercial tenant would not be much, if we are correct in our assumption about being a professional landlord and its consequent entitlement to healthcare, it would at least take away some of the stress we have about that issue and allow my husband to continue to search for work with at least one less worry.

By the way, I teach English in France as an auto-entrepreneur registered business and so I have a carte vitale in my own right. Although I understand that I maybe able to add my husband onto my card, we would still be grateful to know whether we are right about the professional landlord status, or whether for example you must receive a minimum rental income to qualify you for access to the healthcare system?
