Play music via my business in France?
I’ve tried to find answers online in France for this without any luck, yet I imagine it is something that is as common in France as it is in England. I would like to play music in my French registered business. Not just as a learning activity (my language school) but as many shops do - to develop a nicer feeling around the place.
I know as a school there are exceptions to normal licenses, but I’m interested in playing music throughout the day to my customers and I’m afraid I don’t believe what many are telling me that there’s no problem in France.
Among others I found Société des auteurs, compositeurs et éditeurs de musique (SACEM), but their site doesn’t mention normal businesses in France - everything else, including setting up your own international radio station, but not this.
