Petit licence or restaurant license and how to obtain for a table d’hôtes?

As a chambre / table d’hôtes business in France, how do I obtain a license to serve wine (alcohol) with a meal? I was told that I needed to attend a three day course at the chambre of metiers and then take an exam - can you tell me if this is correct please?
