Pay auto-entrepreneur turnover declarations online or by post?

I have been watching your video about setting up online to make your declarations. I normally make my auto-entrepreneur turnover declarations by post and pay also tax at the same time on a quarterly basis. However you mention in the video that I can opt to still make the payments by cheque, even though I am still declaring online. If this is correct, am I still required to give them the bank details etc., or have I misunderstood?
