Painting, plumbing and repair work as an auto-entrepreneur?

My husband’s keen to start a lawn care business - maintaining gardens, hedges, trees etc. But having been to the French Chamber of Commerce we’ve since discovered that agricultural activities don’t come under auto-entrepreneur category and hence he’d be liable to pay over 3,000 euros for social security contributions/taxes within the first year. If he were to register under a different category, i.e. for undertaking all property management work from painting, plumbing, repair work etc. would this change the category, and, if so, what title would he need to call himself if that were the case?
