One or two auto entrepreneur registrations?

I registered myself as an auto entrepreneur in France in January but haven’t been using the status for the business intended. I am now partnering up with someone to start something together, but we’re not sure whether we need to register separately even though it’s one business or if we can do it together to save on being over taxed.

Also should is it best to ‘cancel’ my previous auto entrepreneur registration, as I haven’t used it or can I modify it to suit the new business?
