Obligations when renting out an apartment within our property?

I am creating an independent apartment on the ground floor of our property. We plan to rent this out annually, but may be interested in seasonal lets instead, i.e. whole seasons. Could you let me know how this should be set-up and accounted for? I expect to receive approximately 500 euros per calendar month if rented annually, or 4,200 euros each year if we opt to rent it out for 7 months of each year.
