Need to have more than one client

Hello again Valérie

As a translator, I previously had several clients but as of November 2020 I am only accepting work from one client, to give me time to develop another side of my business (English language coaching). I do not yet receive any income from the new side of the business.

I understand that as a micro entrepreneur it is not advisable to have only one client, as this can be regarded by the tax authorities as in effect being a salaried worker of that client.

However, would my current situation be acceptable in the eyes of the tax office as long as I am able to show that I am trying to develop new clients, albeit on the English language coaching side rather than the translation side of the business?

Thank you.
