My wife’s PUMA coverage
Hello, I’m on a RECE visa and my wife is on a long-term visitor visa. She has been resident in France for more than three months and would like to apply for national health care coverage and social security.
As we speak limited French, simply showing up to the CPAM office to initiate the process is never our favorite option. Is there any way to get the process started online, by email or by mail?
If we do end up needing to just go to the CPAM office, we’ve read my wife should bring the following:
- A copy of your passport
- Proof of legal residence (residence permit, long-stay visa, etc.) if you’re from outside the EU/EEA/Switzerland
- Short-form birth certificate with a certified translation
- Short-form marriage certificate (if applicable)
- Bank details (RIB)
- Proof of address
Is there anything else you would recommend bringing to facilitate the process?
Also we live in Levallois but there doesn’t seem to a CPAM office here. Do we just go to any CPAM office in Paris?
Thank you.
