Micro social auto-entrepreneur or micro enterprise profession liberale?

I’m Canadian and I’m currently working as a self-employed teacher with a titre de sejour Profession liberale. I am not allowed to earn a salary. Also, I’m registered as a micro enterprise, regime social BNC and related to CIPAV. I’ve had this status since September 2008. The social charges paid last year have been regularized and I don’t have to pay any this year. As per the latest regulations for 2010, I’m considering switching to the auto-entrepreneur status. However, I’m so very undecided. I would like to know if the switch would make me pay less charges. Could you please shed some light on this for me so I can make a right decision?

If I change to the auto-entrepreneur status, would this affect the renewal of my carte de sejour with the profession liberale status next July? Also, the parents keep asking me if they can get a tax credit from the invoice that I submit to them. I’ve called up URSAFF and the centre des impots, but they were not able to answer my questions. Would you know by any chance if they can get a tax break, knowing that the CESU can’t apply in my case, since I can’t be a salaried worker.
