Micro Enterprise or SARL?
My family and I have recently moved to France and one of our plans to set up a shop in the south of France. I have a concept of what I want to do and many of the practicalities have already been thought through and discussed, however, the main one which we are not yet 100% on is how the shop will need to be registered. We have looked at the forum and reviewed discussions on the topic and got some local advice, but would like to know what you would suggest in our instance.
I want to open a clothing shop, probably in Montpellier. I would run it myself and would need to have a part time employee to cover 1-2 days a week. As we would need to have premises, I’ve deduced that I would probably have to register as a micro enterprise or a SARL. We haven’t made specific economic projections yet, as there are still too many unknowns such as rental of premises, etc. Could you please advise what you think initially?
