Mandatory pensions for auto-entrepreneur?

I’ve received a couple of letters, some of them the scam type, looking for money to register i.e. inforegistre. However, I’ve also received some correspondence from Reunica stating that it is mandatory to register with a pension body within three months of becoming auto-entrepreneur.
The form is entitled Retraite Complementaire. I searched your forum, and some links did mention Reunica, but when I clicked on the result, a different page pops up? I don’t know a lot about the pensions situation, and am still waiting for my social security number. So I would be obliged for any advice you may have.
