Liabilities and regulations for running courses for children?

This summer I put on a week long musical theatre stage for French and English children at my house. It was only for friends and friends of friends and we all shared the costs etc., but I spent the week running everything, provided all the meals etc. and the children all stayed with us. It was a huge success and I have had lots of requests from local people asking me to run more courses next year. I would like to know how I find out about liabilities and regulations about running courses for children - especially residential ones.
