Letters of recommendation
Bonjour! I’m preparing my business plan and application materials for a profession liberale visa to move an existing business from the US to France. My annual revenue here in the US varies between $60K-85K, and I’ll have $50K in a US bank account (a joint account shared with my husband, who is also applying for a visa) at the time of application.
I’ve been told that the French government is beginning to require letters of recommendation or intention from potential FRANCE-based clients and that the Ministry of the Economy must now review and approve a business plan before granting the profession liberale visa, to make sure that the business is viable.
Can anyone comment on the “required” part of the letters? I’ve previously heard that they’re helpful, but not mandatory. And what’s now involved with getting a business plan approved by the Ministry? Is this something I should do before my visa appointment in the States? To whom do I submit the plan?
Thanks in advance!
