Late payment
Sometime in the last few months, I was late on paying the Syndic charges (trimestre).
Normally, I am never late, but this time it coincided with my having had an accident with my right foot in June 2019 that required treatment, regular physio, ecographie 3 times with Spirts doctor, an MRI, many visits to podologue, using two crutches and a wheelchair This spanned from June 2019 until Feb 2020. The payment was due during that period.
The Syndic sent me a penalty of 48Euros, which I contested. Now they increased it to 51Euros and, although I explained the medical reasons during that time, they do not budge and maintain that I should be penalised for late payment.
- Should I fight it and take them to court?
- On what basis they insist?
- Shouldn’t they take a medical situation into consideration and remove this penalty?
Appreciate some advice.
