Is there a time limit to being an auto-entrepreneur?

Today I contacted a local business adviser in France regarding payment of my cotisation tax for this quarter on-line. The advisor was unable to access the facility to pay using the website net-entreprises.fr and suggested that because I have been registered as an auto-entreprenuer business in France for over 2 years, this could be the reason why access has been denied? Please can you advise what I should do and if this is the case how can I change my status so I can continue trading.
