Is there a minimum turnover before pension entitlement?

I have been reading some of the old posts concerning this subject and just wanted to clarify something, do you need to earn over 24000 euros a year in order to get a pension entitlement or have I misunderstood? If this is correct and you don’t earn this amount do you get nothing even though cotistations are taken towards it?
