Is there a limit on turnover for each trimester?

Is the turnover limit for auto-entrepreneur’s based solely upon the total at the end of a year? If a business is within the 80,000 euros limit for instance, does it have a limit of 20,000 euros per trimester, 40,000 euros for half a year etc.
