Is my business suitable for auto-entrepreneur/micro-entrepreneur?

I am considering starting up a small craft business in France. I will be painting decorative garden and hardware items, e.g. metal watering cans, plant pots, wagon wheels, horseshoes, etc. My plan would be to paint my customers own items mainly but would hope to attract custom by having a few painted items along with business cards in a few outlets, e.g. cafe/bars or garden centres etc.
I am hoping to make enough just for myself and my partner to qualify for the health service as we are early retirees. Can you tell me if this is suitable for the auto-entrepreneur business structure and if so how much I would need to turn over / tax I would have to pay?
