Is my business classified as commercant or artisan?

I have recently received a letter from the chambres de commerce et d’industrie (CCI) Rennes requesting that I register my business before 19 December 2015 under the law of the 18th June 2014. I am an auto-entrepreneur and began activities January 2014. I write and sell my own software under APE code 5829C (edition de logiciels applicatifs).

Would I be classified as a commercant or artisan? Registration is relatively simple for commercants (direct with CFE dela CCI Rennes using Cerfa 152601*01). If, however, I am classified as an artisan, who do register with, and what is the procedure?
