I’m a freelance writer and an author – is there a way to register as an auto entrepreneur?

I’m a published author with a UK contract, but all my income comes from freelance contracted writing.

I have one main client that I work with every year, and occasionally 1-2 other clients, all international.

My income is in the region of €45,000 per year, 99% of which is freelance writing for the above client. Occasionally I get income for Zoom workshops, etc.

I know that authors aren’t able to apply for the auto entrepreneur scheme, but would it be possible when my income is primarily freelance contract based?
