If I close my auto-entrepreneur down, will it effect my carte vitale?

I am on my own in France and therefore my income is the only income I have. My work is very seasonal and I have struggled in the autumn, winter and spring months and it has been quite stressful. I was offered a French contract for ten months (renewable at the end of each year) of the year and all the security that goes with it which I took.

I would like to keep my auto-entrepreneur registered, but with all the possible changes that may occur I may not be able to do this for much longer.

If I close my auto-entrepreneur down, will it effect my carte vitale?
Can I run the two concurrently without conflict?
Do I have to inform anyone of the change in my circumstances - I am presently with RAM?
